WEATHER ALERT — Locally dense fog is expected across the Grand Strand and Pee Dee through the Friday morning commute, reducing visibility for drivers. Slow down, use headlights, and allow extra travel time.
After the fog lifts, Friday will turn summer-like, with afternoon highs in the mid-80s near the coast and upper 80s inland; some Pee Dee locations could approach 90°. Rain chances increase through the weekend, with showers and possible thunderstorms at times Saturday and into Sunday.
