SLED releases details in Florence County shooting
SLED says deputies responding to a domestic incident on Fulton Avenue in Effingham encountered a 16-year-old armed with a knife. Investigators say the teen charged at deputies and was shot. He remains hospitalized; no officers were injured. SLED is investigating.

Marion County pedestrian identified in fatal Dillon crash
The Dillon County coroner identified 44-year-old Jermain Smith of Marion County as the pedestrian killed Friday night on U.S. 301 near East Countryside Road. South Carolina Highway Patrol continues to investigate.
